Sight Machine Integrates NVIDIA Omniverse to Bring Unlimited AI Computing Power to the Shop Floor for 3D Visualization and Advanced Manufacturing Insights
Factory Operate with NVIDIA Omniverse Delivers 3D Digital Twin for Real-Time Process Visualization and Rapid Troubleshooting

SAN FRANCISCO — Sight Machine Inc., the leading industrial AI data platform, today announced its integration with NVIDIA Omniverse, a platform for developing applications for physical AI and industrial digitalization. This breakthrough enables manufacturers to tap on-demand NVIDIA AI computing power on Microsoft Fabric for real-time 3D visualization of line performance, rapid troubleshooting, and root cause analysis. It opens the door for frontline factory workers to AI simulations and advanced modeling of how process and machinery changes will impact production.

At NVIDIA GTC AI Conference today, Sight Machine demonstrated these capabilities through its work with Coca-Cola Consolidated, the largest independent Coca-Cola bottler in the United States. The bottler is working to digitalize manufacturing operations at its Nashville, Tenn. plant using Sight Machine’s Manufacturing Data Platform, Microsoft Fabric and NVIDIA Omniverse, moving beyond isolated machine monitoring to a system-wide understanding of production.

“The hard part of manufacturing is understanding the root of why you’re not running or why you’re running at a slow speed,” said Brett Frankenberg, SVP, Technology Processes & Systems at Coca-Cola Consolidated. “This is where the Sight Machine industrial AI data platform and its integration with Microsoft and NVIDIA Omniverse technologies is very promising. There are multiple use cases where we can use the insights Sight Machine offers to get better and ultimately run more product.”

Sight Machine’s new AppBuilder CoPilot orchestrates multiple agents to allow all types of users — from plant managers to process engineers to supply chain leaders — to create industrial applications from a single prompt. This lets them immediately extract insights specific to their needs. Users simply describe their needs in natural language – whether a custom KPI explorer or an app for optimizing product changeovers – and agents fluent in both manufacturing and data science automatically generate the complete application, including data logic, workflows, and user interface, all built on the same real-time data foundation. The result: faster problem solving, continuous innovation, and data superpowers for operations.

Beyond Conventional Digital Twins

Unlike common digital twins that show the state of individual machines, the new software analyzes the entire production line as a system, tracing problems to their root cause — such as identifying and displaying the specific upstream or downstream machine component creating a bottleneck — and recommends targeted interventions for swift resolution.

“By bringing real-time analysis of thousands of data points together with unlimited AI computing and visualization power and putting this solution into the hands of the people operating the plant, Sight Machine, through its collaboration with Microsoft and NVIDIA, is delivering the next generation of capability for entire systems of production,” said Sight Machine CEO and Co-Founder Jon Sobel.

Key Capabilities That Drive Operational Improvements

The power of Factory Operate derives from the integration of three companies’ technologies: NVIDIA Omniverse; Microsoft’s Cloud for Manufacturing, Fabric and AI; and Sight Machine’s Manufacturing Data Platform, which digitally captures and models the entire production process. Sight Machine delivers this modeling through a software product that tracks every step in production as well as how materials are transformed at each production stage, revealing how raw material variations, machine settings, and other conditions influence quality, throughput, and downtime metrics.

Factory Operate delivers:

  • System-level understanding: Unlocks AI-driven analytics for understanding system performance, downtimes, and bottlenecks
  • Comprehensive asset assessment: Analyzes the impact of capacity-limiting assets and traces downtime origins to specific PLC faults and KPIs
  • Root cause analysis: Deploys advanced analytics to identify and prevent downtimes through built-in alerting and notifications
  • Human-in-the-loop data: End user applications enable human-in-the-loop data labeling – e.g., notes describing a machine failure – for continuous AI model improvement
  • Mobile-friendly: Enables optimization for mobile devices while maintaining primary support for kiosks and tablets

“By bringing real-time analysis of thousands of data points together with unlimited AI computing and visualization power and putting this solution into the hands of the people operating the plant, Sight Machine, through its collaboration with Microsoft and NVIDIA, is delivering the next generation of capability for entire systems of production.”

How We Built It

Sight Machine is integrating several cutting-edge NVIDIA and Microsoft technologies into Factory Operate, its set of applications for operators. NVIDIA, Microsoft, and Sight Machine jointly deployed technical teams to build the offering and contribute their unique expertise.

Sight Machine has integrated NVIDIA Omniverse Kit App Streaming, which leverages GPU-accelerated streaming technologies to visualize physically accurate 3D digital twins within the Factory Operate application. Manufacturing end-users run Factory Operate on shop-floor kiosks, tablets, and phones.

Factory Operate also integrates with Microsoft Fabric, offering Microsoft’s comprehensive suite of cloud services and productivity tools for securely working with data across edge and cloud environments, from the plant to the enterprise data estate. The offering can run on NVIDIA GPUs available through Azure, providing a cost-effective platform for powerful, scalable AI computing.

“In industries ranging from food & beverages to automotive to chemicals and more, Microsoft and Sight Machine are working together to bring manufacturers unprecedented improvements in their operations,” said Indranil Sircar, CTO of Manufacturing & Mobility at Microsoft.
